Habitat for Humanity House on Weybridge Street

United Methodists in Addison County are joining forces again on Saturday, January 30 to work on the Habitat for Humanity House that is located on Weybridge Street in Middlebury. People sixteen years of age or older of any skill level are invited to be a part of this outreach and fellowship.  This invitation to build is being extended to members and friends of the North Ferrisburgh, Ferrisburgh Center, Vergennes, West Addison, Bristol, and Monkton United Methodist congregations as well as our own.

Those participating will work from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a half hour lunch break, or from 8 a.m. to noon and from noon to 4 p.m. if one cannot stay the whole day.  Bring a bag lunch and work gloves.  The Habitat board will provide coffee and a midmorning snack.  Parking is on the LEFT side of the driveway, NOT in the pull out on the right at the top of the driveway.  Overflow vehicles can go into the adjoining driveway, which is better than on Weybridge St.  Everyone is required upon arrival to fill out and sign a waiver, and sign in and out.  The Habitat board will provide hard hats, also required on site.

Thanks are extended to Clay Wagner, Tom Colley, and George Klohck of the Middlebury United Methodist Church for their work on the house in early December.  An article and accompanying photos were printed in the Addison Independent following the December work day.  If you are interested in participating in January, contact Rev. Jill at 388-2510 at your earliest convenience.  The site can accommodate a limited number of workers at any given point.
