The Middlebury UMW met on Monday April 23rd at Mimi Hardy's Home. There were ten members present. The meeting opened with prayer. The minutes of the March meeting were read and approved. The treasurer's report showed a balance of $1362.81.

Marg Wesley reported about the Vermont District UMW Spring Gathering in Brattleboro. She shared the Worship Bulletin with us and brought back some cards that people can use to make memorial donations to the mission work of UMW.

The main order of business was the Rummage Sale which will be held on Friday May 11th from 9-5 and Saturday May12th from 9-noon. There will be a bake sale on Friday-upstairs in the kitchen -from 9 until all is sold. Saturday is bag day with all you can fit in a large paper bag for $2.

Donations for the rummage sale are being accepted from now on. If you need to leave donations during the week and need to get into the church you can call Mimi at 388-6016.

The group gave donations to two summer camps that are always in need of help. Camp Ta-Kum- Ta that brings the camping experience to children being treated for cancer and Camp Agape that accepts children whose parents are in jail. $100 was given to each camp.

The UMW is also collecting items for school kits that will be taken to Annual Conference in June. There is a box for donations on the back table in Fellowship Hall with a list of materials needed next to it.
