At our November 19th meeting, funds were allocated to several local and district charities. These funds come from what we raise at our Fall and Spring Rummage Sales. Anyone who donates items to the sales or works setting up and running a sale is part of the reason we make so much at the sales.

The proceeds of our Fall Sale amounted to $1,732. From the proceeds, we gave to the following agencies:

• $200 to Hope for fuel assistance, $250 to Charter House, $300 SummerLunch Program, $200 Women Safe , $300 the Christmas Shop at Hope.

• We also paid the second half of our UMW donation $250 to the Vermont District of UMW. Lastly, we will be donating in January $500 to Jeremias Franca toward our church's commitment to his work in Mozambique.

• The total amount we've given at this time is $1500 which leaves $232 left from the sale proceeds.

• We also have $1005 in our treasury from a CD we rolled over. In January we will be paying our share for Jeremias.

Beginning the first Sunday of December, you will find a display of jewelry on the back table. If you would like to buy any of it, a free will offering is suggested. The jewelry comes from Africa. The money will go towards a birthday donation to Chicuque Hospital in Mozambique in honor of Jeremias Franca's February birthday.

In December the UMW will be packing tins of cookies and fruit for our home bound members. If you think of someone you think would like a tin, please see Mimi Hardy . We would be glad to pack them a tin. We will be packing tins on December 10th.
